• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

Thank you to Suzanne Collins for the creation of Panem and The Hunger Games trilogy. And thank you for the following people who contributed to site design: Ring Wang: banner slideshow code, Revo: fixed sidebar code, Gem: site skin(s).

And many thanks to Sixth Station members for their characters, posts, creativity and work. Thank you to everyone mentioned and unmentioned for the work put into making this site the great board it is.

Thank You

After four years, we have decided to close down Sixth Station. The site has meant so much to many of us who spent countless hours into our game. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our game.

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

I want an interesting character that can really jump into the site. What do I do?
One thing that differentiates Sixth Station from the majority of other Hunger Games sites is that district residents can travel between districts as their leisure. There are still the economic and social divides between districts, but they mingle regularly. For the Capitolites, we really need Hunger Games staff. During the Games, they can interact with other staff and Capitolites as well as Tributes.

Characters of all ages are welcome. Just make sure to play them appropriately for their ages. If you make a 52 year old, he likely won’t act like he’s 12. And if you make an 8 year old, she will think and act differently than a 5 year old.

What’s the best district for having a character reaped?
This fluctuates. However, if you want to increase your chances of having a character reaped, choose a district with fewer characters of reaping age. In general, Career districts tend to have more eligible characters. Make sure to pay attention to gender, too—some districts might have a lot of eligible characters, but all of one gender.

What characters have the most plot opportunities?
Any character can be successfully played in Sixth Station if you put in the effort to work with a wide variety of members and to think creatively. However, at this writing, Victors are the easiest group to find plots with because they can move back and forth between the districts and the Capitol. District residents are second easiest because there are so many of them. We are hoping to expand the Capitolites; it is currently only their lack of numbers that make them a little harder to get plots with. The hardest groups to find plots are generally avoxes and Peacekeepers, though again—you can if you have the desire and time to try.

I really want a character that’s outside of Panem’s norm. Is this possible?
Yes, this is possible. Please check out our anti-Hunger Games rebel group, the Free Panem Alliance. This group is against the Hunger Games, though the individual characters’ reasoning varies. Some hate the Capitol. Others love the Capitol but hate the Hunger Games. Yet others don’t mind the Capitol being in charge but want more equality between districts and Capitol.

This group allow a variety of character types.

I don’t have an idea for a character. What should I do?
We do have a requested character area, here. Please make sure that if you take a requested character that you be active.

What character types do you need?
Feel free to check out this thread

I would like a Capitolite who works on the Hunger Games—what jobs do they have?
As stated in the books, they have escorts, stylists, Gamemakers and prep team members. In addition to that, we also recognize that many other people’s work goes into the Hunger Games, such as the scientists who create and cultivate the plants and animals for the arena, the construction workers who build the arena, and the morticians who work on preparing the bodies to return to their districts. As long as your characters are appropriate for their line of duty, you are welcome to apply.
