Looked like Rezi wasn’t completely off the hook here. She sighed again, and let her hands drop down to her sides that wasn’t at all melodramatic for someone who had only been accused of taking some pens, oh no, definitely not melodramatic at all.
“Look,” she started, her former annoyance coming back again. “I already said it wasn’t me. What do I have to do to prove it to you?” Rezi was irritated with her for not just knowing it wasn’t her, as it was quite frankly something she would never do unless it had a higher purpose and was unavoidable. But, since that wasn’t happening, she had to try something else.
An idea soon sparked in her head, however, though she figured that the other girl would have by now disproved it, “Did you check to make sure it wasn’t one of the professors or the secretary?”
