• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

After four years, we have decided to close down Sixth Station. The site has meant so much to many of us who spent countless hours into our game. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our game.

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

Meadowlark

Drake waited impatiently by a crowded pier. Two avox stood nearby, keeping and eye on him and the crowd. What they were looking for he didn't know, but he was in a foul mood due to having to be in his wheelchair today, so he was inclined to think the worst. Being in his chair didn't stop him from carrying his cane, and he tapped it impatiently on the side of his chair, waiting for his protegee to appear.

Where was the girl? He had missed a lot, being sick the last few months. It was annoying, and Drake was not one who dealt with such annoyances well. He didn't go crazy like some of these weirdo victors now a days. But he wasn't afraid to show his feelings in a normal manner. Speaking his mind was what he was good at, and if someone needed to get a tap on the head to help knock the wisdom he imparted along, well then, so be it.

After several more long moments had passed, he grabbed the water bottle strapped to the side of his chair and took a long drink. He'd called the girl an hour ago. What was she doing? Getting ready shouldn't take that long. He had a lot to catch up on, a lot to do and not a whole lot of time to do it. These youngsters had no respect. Isali was better than most, he'd give her that. She might call him old, but he wasn't one to shun the truth. He was old, and proud of it. He was a survivor, the defining trait of a Victor. And he wasn't crazy like some of his colleagues. They didn't make Victors like they used to.

Probably because the Capitol had become crueler in some ways, weaker in others. It was worrisome actually. Drake could deal with change, but something smelled bad about the shift in gears lately. Something bad was coming. Something that would bode ill for everyone.

"There you are," he grumbled, wheeling forward as he spotted Isali among the crowd. "What took you so long?"

Mads

Isali had had her bag packed, bow ready, arrows sharpened, wires for snares. Everything was ready because she had been planning to send a few days in the forests around the Districts, hunting. Or she told herself she'd be hunting but she usually went and only shot enough stuff to get her by along with the things she'd bring with her.

But right before she had made her way out, Drake called and told her to meet him. Which, she knew she had to do for the most part. She couldn't avoid him, not when he was healthy. Isali knew she could just go talk to him about whatever he wanted to talk about and then go on with her plans. So instead of just heading out like her plan, she had to ditch all of her gear, change into more civilized clothing and head out to the pier where Drake told her to meet him.

She wouldn't consider herself to be late, but Drake probably did. It wasn't like she could quickly hide her things (which she did because of the fact of never knowing if some Capitol person would walk into her house and find a fully packed bag, which would make it look like she was running into the forest for good to the Capitol) and change. Maybe she was a little paranoid, but she didn't want to give the Capitol a reason to dislike her, or even give the Districts reason to hate her even more for anything other than being a Champion.

As she walked up, her almost smiling face turned to a grimace of sorts. "What, no hi?" she asked. "I have a life, Old Man. I was about to go off and do something when you called, it takes time to cancel plans."

Meadowlark

Drake huffed, shrugging his shoulders and nudging her foot with the edge of his cane.

"Plans you say? Well you could have said so when I contacted you. I could have met up with you later. What were these plans I interrupted?" He asked suspiciously. Probably nothing good. The girl had a good head on her shoulders but children would be children and he doubted she had been doing anything good for her career or image while he was away and not able to help direct her.

Isali shrugged some. Not like she had anything else to do. Besides, she had all the time in the world to head to the forests for days at a time. The chances to actually talk to her mentor were running lower.

"I was going to go on a hunting trip. Easily cancelled. I would have been gone for a few days. It was easier to just put it off," she told him. She figured that it wasn't too bad to tell him. Considering that it wasn't a hidden fact that she had hunted before the Games, might as well continue hunting after. Not like she had much else to do.
