• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

After four years, we have decided to close down Sixth Station. The site has meant so much to many of us who spent countless hours into our game. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our game.

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

When he heard Patience scream, Citron ran tried jumping back up. He couldn't really see what was going on, but from the sounds of the cannons, he knew it couldn't have been good. "Patience!" Citron screamed at the top of his lungs. He was frantic to get to her, to help her. Here in the arena, she was the only family he had. She couldn't die now. "C'mon!

When she jumped down, Citron was immediately by her side. It didn't take long for him to see the small slimey creature that had attached itself to her stomach. Before he could react, Acorn was pulling the leech from her body. Breathing a sigh of relief, Citron stood nearby, watching for any bad signs that might emerge from his ally.

Patience’s heart pounded as she looked at the gloppy slug mess on the floor. The creature left a round, raw circle in her flesh where it had latched onto her body. The wound throbbed, but she forced herself to focus on the group of people with her.

“Th-thanks, Acorn,” she said as she rubbed her belly where the creature had attached herself. She said first to herself, then to Citron, “I’m okay . . . I’m okay.”

And it was time to move. The group was heading forward, and Patience wasn’t about to be left behind. She nodded to Citron and followed after the others.

Acorn started moving again. He picked up his pace the further they went along, circling around his small group to make sure that everyone was moving easily and no one lagged behind. At last, after what could have been half an hour of walking, they entered into a strange room.

The room itself was vast and covered with control panels. At first Acorn thought that it might be the place where the Gamemakers controlled the arena above. But then he realized that there was a set of train tracks off to the side and a long, dark hallway that lead away from the direction they had come. A sleek train sat on the centre of the tracks, the words “Property of the Capitol” painted on the side.

As Acorn proceeded into the room, now time slowly and with great caution, he examined everything he passed. Invoices, medical notes, tabs of the current tributes. Instructions on how to get to the mutt holding chambers. A map of the arena blown up on a screen, marked with the locations where various tributes died. Acorn paused her and closed his eyes, tears threatening to brim over. They had lost so many. . . . He regained control of himself and moved onward. A shelf of weaponry caught his eye, and he thought to the xiphos in his hand. No more weapons were needed.

Across the walkway on the opposite desk, a computer screen showed live coverage of the Capitol. It was a familiar building, one that Acorn had seen in person only once before: the training center. And it was on fire. He bit his tongue and watched as the silent television screen showed reports of the Capitol under attack by rebels. The ticker at the bottom listed off the various locations under attack, and the stream of words went on and on. The computer screen next to the first showed the words: “All units return to the Capitol.” Acorn’s heart beat quickly as he realized what had happened.

All fears that they had walked into another part of the arena that was designed to mimic civilization were gone. They were finally out of the arena. He turned to the others.

“We did it,” he said. “The revolution is here.”

This is the end of our Hunger Games. Please take one more post to describe your character’s reaction. For reference’s sake, the characters will proceed from here by train until they come across the nearest station where they are helped out by rebels. From there, they can proceed as they wish. Thank you for participating in this Hunger Games, and thank you for seeing us to the end.

Patience was okay, so Citron was okay. That was how it was. As long as the two of them could make it out of this hell-hole alive (and the odds of that seemed to get lower and lower every second), Citron wouldn't care what happened next.

Everyone who was left kept walking, and Citron didn't speak. He just walked by Patience's side, occasionally glancing over at her to make sure she was okay. It didn't make sense why those other kids had to die back there, but Patience got to live. It was a miracle in every sense of the word that she was still alive. She looked kind of hurt, but she was alive.

After not too long, the group came across a room. While Acorn and a couple of others made their way into the room, Citron pulled back. He was listening intently when Acorn shared the great nows; they were free. A smile grew on Citron's face, and he hugged Patience. He was so happy and proud of himself. He was one of the lucky few people who had ever been sent to the arena and survived. And he got to do it with his best friend by his side the whole time.

Glancing over at his friend, Citron let out words of glee. "We're going home. We're finally going home"

Wow. I can't believe this is finally over. A huge thanks to Gem, not only for being there for Citron. Honestly, the friendship between Patience and Citron has to be my favorite relationship between characters I've ever played in a Hunger Games. A big thank you to everyone else who played in these Games. They truly were unforgettable. I hope to stay in contact with everyone here. Thank you all for making Sixth Station so incredible.
