• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

Eva opened the door of the cage and examined the small room. It was too cruel but they deserved it. Well Eva couldn't understand why this girl deserved it. She was too stupid to be cruel. The boy left when they reached the compound. Eva was glad, she didn't enjoyed his company at all.

Eva looked at the girl with her big black eyes and nodded. " This is your new home, sweetheart, I hope you like it", Eva murmured and pushed the girl in. She walked in and put a loaf of bread on the small wooden table and walked out. She closed the door behind her and watched the girl inside. For some reason it was quite funny.

" You like the decor? Or you prefer something more... pink?", Eva murmured and looked at the girl's pink hair. Why would anyone want pink hair? Even her sister, Jasmine didn't, and Jasmine always wanted to be a stylist.

Claudius strode over to Eva, who was currently escorting a Capitolite into her cell. He watched with mild interest, trying to keep his eyes away from the woman's. Poor thing looked terrified out of her wits. It was times like these, when he saw the look on the kidnapped Capitolites' faces, that he felt a bit bad. But then he remembered the face of a child after they hear their name called out of the reaping ball, and was able to push it aside.

He turned to Eva. "I came to see if you needed any help with her, but it looks likt you're fine." Sometimes, the Capitolites decided to try and escape before the rebel that had kidnapped them managed to lock them in their cell. This one, however, didn't seem like she would be trying something like that. She was too busy sitting on the floor looking like a deer caught in the headlights to plot an escape. In all honesty, he hadn't come to help. He was just incredibly bored and wanted to see who they'd gotten this time. He recognized the woman, she was an escort. This just furthered his distaste for her. She was there when the tributes were reaped, she saw them first hand, she was with them. How was she not able to tell that the Hunger Games were wrong?

Valencia looked into the cell, eyes wide with fright. No, I ca't go in there, it's dark and cold and creepy and- ow! She didn't have time to finish her thought before she was given a firm push and fell into the cell. After the other woman spoke, it was all she could do not to whimper like a puppy. The woman entered her small cell and placed a loaf of bread on the table. Valencia just looked at it. There was no way she could be hungry at a time like this. Hearing the door close and the click of a lock, the escort walked over to a wall, sat down against it. Then, she saw something that give her the smallest glimmer of hope. A man approached, wearing an official-looking white uniform. A peacekeepr! Surely he would help her! She was about to call out to him, but he spoke first, and with his words she knew that he was allied with her captors. Then the woman that had taken her spoke again. Valencia, unable to contain it any longer, began to sob. "Please just let me go home," she said between cries. Most likely, no one would listen, but maybe they'd take pity on her and set her free. Maybe.

Eva turned her black eyes to the peacekeeper. She never trusted them but he was a rebel too. At least he could change his clothes. " It's alright, but you can sit here, I'm bored", Eva murmured to the man. Well a peacekeeper was a better company than a crying Capitolite.

Eva rolled her eyes when the Capitolite asked to go home. " Do you know how many children say that when they are in your fucking city? When they are prepared to die?", Eva asked the girl. Probably her aunt was saying the same when she was reaped. And all the children from her District. And other Districts too. Well the Careers nevers said that, they were happy that they were reaped. But Eva was sure that deep inside they wanted to go home too.

Valencia looked at the woman with wide eyes. Children... did she mean the tributes? She stopped crying for a moment and started thinking. (Valencia's brain couldn't quite handle multi-tasking.) The tributes were there as required by law! They weren't kidnapped off the streets! They weren't taken from their homes, chosen for no real reason to be brought to a horrible place like this!

....Wait a minuet. Yes they were.

Oh god. This horrible woman actually had a point! Valencia stopped her self-analasys and went right back to crying, this time a quiet whimer. "W-what do you want with me?"

Uncomfortable at watching this woman be so upset, Claudius uneasily put a hand through the bars and into her shoulder. "Ma'am, please calm down," he said in his best official Peacekeeper tone.

Of course, this only made her go back to sobbing.

Eva rolled her eyes. " Do you know what I find really annoying? That you are always smiling at the Reaping Day. Like it is a celebration or something", Eva murmured and rolled her eyes. The girl couldn't understand what was so great with killing children. How could they plan their deaths and watch them die without having nightmares?
