• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

The Games had officially started. Though it wasn't something Cow liked watching, it was something she was forced to watch and with the Games going on they where streaming at all times. Pretty much the only thing that was really constant on TV at the moment. She was watching replays of the reaping followed by the session scores, interviews, and BloodBath, it made her sick to watch this. She laid on the couch, not expecting much of anything to go on. She had hardly seen Sebastian, probably, because he was close to Orsino, who was recently reaped. Vowel Names. So not clever, in Cow's opinion. She watched as District Eight came on the screen then Nine, followed by Ten. It was weird...seeing Orsino up on the screen. She personally didn't know him too well, but she knew of him and had met him a few times. He was different, from what she could gather he didn't talk much.

She reached for a bowl of chocolates, knowing full well that she couldn't eat them, but they were sitting there and looked so good. Something that was rare in the house, because of her diabetes, but when there was sugar like this she never seized the opportunity to eat some...even if she did get sick from it. She looked around to make sure neither Nancy or Clyde were there and then dove into the chocolates. Watching as the BloodBath began.

She had her off days and her good days. Today was an off day for Cow. She wasn't feel good as it was, the chocolate wouldn't make things better and she felt lost in everything. Clyde and Nancy were running around getting things together for whatever they had going on...some house Game watching party thing...she didn't know or care to know. It's not that she didn't love Clyde and Nancy. They were so good to her, but it was days like this she wished she was curled up in her fathers lap watching the Games from the safety of his arms. Not having to worry about nightmares, because when she slept in her dads arms, everything went away. She was a daddies girl...seventeen or not. She was indeed a daddies girl.

Sebastian felt like a wreck. Mostly because... he was one. He had done everything he could to sell - to get together some money to help Orsino get... something. Bread rolls or a chicken sandwich or a rope or something that would help him get out alive. And he had done what he could, but it wasn't much in the end.

He played with the bracelet on his wrist - the same as Orsino's token, but this one dark green. It was what they had had, so he took it. It was a small comfort, maybe, but still a comfort nonetheless. It made him feel closer to his friend, in a way... And Sebastian, for what it was worth, could use all the closeness he could get while Orsino was alive.

He decided not to watch the BloodBath alone... Mostly because he did not want to sit there with skin crawling as murmured that name under his breath, begging the world that Orsino would be safe... He knew that Cow's parents had decided to hold a Games watching party, so why not go there? It was busy enough at the place and the door was open, so he walked in, grinning widely at Cow's parents, who were rushing to and fro throughout the house. "Good day, Mr. and Mrs. Porter."

Mrs. Porter stopped by, gripping his hand for a moment and whispering something about maybe having some luck again this time... Before rushing off. He wandered into the main room, standing at the threshold for a moment, staring at the television. Orsino was there with a knife. Good. He could probably be great with a knife... And then... Had Orsino just... killed someone? Sebastian wasn't sure whether to throw up or to smile.

He was thankful that he became aware of Cow in the room at this moment, because he was leaning towards throwing up. He frowned. "Well, I see you feel like getting sick this evening." He commented as he rolled his eyes, finding a seat nearby. "I'm not stopping you. It would be entertaining." Sometimes, Sebastian could be an ass. Cow knew this. It was part of being friends.

Cow sat watching the TV screen as if there was nothing else to do in her life. She started eating the chocolates not really caring about getting sick or not. Hell it would give her a good reason to go to bed early and not watch the games, but knowing Nancy and Clyde they would make her watch the games anyways. Plus with the watching party about to happen she knew the house would be filled with people, always was. She rolled her eyes inwardly at the thought. Why would people gather to watch the Games? It seemed dumb to gather to watch children be killed. She hated the games. Especially this game.

She munched on the chocolates as they were comfort for her at that moment, "Well, I see you feel like getting sick this evening. I'm not stopping you. It would be entertaining." She turned her head to the boy who had found a seat nearby and glared at him, "Some of us actually take our medicine when we are suppose to and don't get sick!" She lied, but it was a good cover anyways. She chucked a few chocolate balls at him and smirked as they pelted him nicely in the chest. Not that he would be hurt by them, but she was satisfied they ad hit him and then looked around to make sure Nancy and Clyde weren't around and plopped some in her mouth.

"But hello to you too stranger, how are you holding up?" She asked, smiling weakly, trying to not sound like she didn't already know the answer, but maybe she didn't. She never knew. She put the bowl of chocolate on the table and instead traded it out for some peanuts, which were much more fun to eat. She looked at him carefully, "Ready for a party?!" she said sarcastically. Who would be ready to watch people fight to die, well if you had someone you care about in the Games, maybe, but even Cow wasn't ready to watch the games and she kind of knew Orsino in a way.

She shook her previous thoughts of her family and focused on the scree again, eating peanuts as she watched, "Happy Hunger Games!" she said sarcastically.

Sebastian slumped a little in his seat, watching as the Bloodbath began to unfold. Orsino, at least, had grabbed some things and left as soon as he could. Still, there were plenty of other things going on at the Bloodbath. They were not yet showing the other tributes who had left along with him. They had only shown that they had left.

"Happy Hunger Games." It felt difficult to watch it. Was it normal to want to cry while watching it when someone was so close to a tribute? Was it? Sebastian could not be sure, but he almost did not care. He cared about Orsino and wanted to see him come home. But now... now there were so many others. Even with one kill under Orsino's belt - especially the first kill of the Games - it did not mean anything for how things would go on later.

With a twist in his gut, he realized how much he would hate to see him die already, but he pushed this thought aside. He was probably safe now. For now. "I wish I'd told him before he left..." He murmured, more to himself as he watched the bloodshed only just beginning now.
