• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

Thank you to Suzanne Collins for the creation of Panem and The Hunger Games trilogy. And thank you for the following people who contributed to site design: Ring Wang: banner slideshow code, Revo: fixed sidebar code, Gem: site skin(s).

And many thanks to Sixth Station members for their characters, posts, creativity and work. Thank you to everyone mentioned and unmentioned for the work put into making this site the great board it is.

Thank You

After four years, we have decided to close down Sixth Station. The site has meant so much to many of us who spent countless hours into our game. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our game.

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

Or they could break the glass. That would work. She flinched when he hit it the first time, because it was loud. She didn't hear the other times, instead found a paper clip. She slammed the desk shut, and ran to the door. She uncurled the paper clip, and stuck it in the key hole. She had done it before, when she had been locked in her room by her brother. She couldn't hear if it clicked or not, so she looked up at Uaithne, "Did it click? Is it unlocked?" She took the paper clip out, and threw it towards the desk, and looked at Uaithne.

Uaithne brought the trophy down against the window a third time. This time spiderweb-like cracks curled away across the glass.

“I don’t know,” he said. For a moment, he felt foolish for not checking to see if the window was unlocked in the first place like any sensible human being would, but the moment was fleeting. In its place was the sheer gratification that came with beating a blasted window in with a bust of some long-dead hero.

He swung the trophy again, and a small chunk of glass fell away.

Rosie didn't hear the click, and when she tried the door it didn't work. She went to the desk again, and found a heavy book. She grabbed it, and started bashing on the window, and Rosie watched as more pieces began to fall from it. One almost hit her, and she sighed. "I swear, I didn't come here to get locked in a room." She chuckled, and hit the window another time, one more chunk flying past her head.

Uaithne brought the trophy down against the glass one more time. The window shattered, glass spraying outwards into the grass far below. He leaned out the now-open window, careful to avoid the jagged teeth that still clung to the window frame, and stared at the kaleidoscope of colors reflecting the trees and sky above. Freedom was secured.

Stepping back inside, he scanned the area surrounding the window for something to knock down the remaining glass. His eyes landed on a sweatshirt cast against the wall where someone had no doubt taken it off and forgotten all about it.

“Hand that to me,” he said to the girl with a nod towards the cloth.

She looked at him, trying hard to hear what he was saying, and then nodded. She put the book down, and grabbed the sweater, handing it to him. She went over to the window, to see if anyone was outside, and no one was. She sighed, and walked back over to Uaithne. She smiled, and watched. Her head was hurting, and all she needed to do was go make dinner for her little brother, and go to sleep. Sleep. That word seemed like it wasn't in her vocabulary.
