• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

After four years, we have decided to close down Sixth Station. The site has meant so much to many of us who spent countless hours into our game. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our game.

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

Oh look, Zinc survived until Day Two. It was better than he had originally hoped, at least, but he had kind of hoped that someone would have taken the opportunity to get rid of him while he’d been asleep. A rather dark train of thought, but really, could you blame him?

He figured he should probably get up and going soon, but perhaps just not yet. It would probably be best to grab a bite to eat before he went off walking, just to get his strength up for when he needed it. While he had some new stuff to eat, he figured he should just try to finish off his jerky first; made one less thing to carry. So, he snacked on quite a bit of his jerky, not having realized just how hungry he was until he downed most of the package. What was left was shoved in his bag, alongside his water after he downed a good amount.
Wow, it sure was hot in here. Zinc peeled off his jacket and tried to shove that in his bag too before he realized just how stuffed the thing was. He sorted through his things, and after wrestling with it for a while and even stamping on his stuff to try to get it down in there, he managed to zip it up. There, that was better.

Time to get walking.

Zinc had noticed that he was slowing down a little. Perhaps it was the aching pain from his shoulders for carrying too much weight for too long, or the heat starting to get to him, but either way, he knew he was wearing out. He had been drinking as much water as he could get in him, eventually finishing off all he had (oops, perhaps that was a bit too much).

Okay, this was getting to be far too tiring now. He had been walking for several hours and needed a break. It wasn’t like he’d seen any sign of anybody at all since leaving the Bloodbath, so surely he could afford to be a little bit more lax about his running away. Throwing his bag down, Zinc slumped against a tree, resting his head back against the trunk.

Day three was coming up pretty soon, and part of him mused over finding someone to keep him alive, but for the most part, Zinc was done. He’d slowly begun to accept that he couldn’t do it, he wouldn’t be able to find anyone in time and manage to kill them, and hell, he didn’t even want to all that much anymore. Let someone else deal with being the Victor, he was tired. He just requested that his death was a slow one.

A sitting target under a tree, with no motion whatsoever, was a tempting target. Thus, it wasn't long now until seemingly out of nowhere, a tree fell down. Where the tree had been now stood an elephant, a huge Mutt of a beast. It was easily as twice as big as a normal elephant, and the trunk seemed to be twice as long as Zinc himself.

The boy was too tired to do much as the elephant reached out with the trunk, enveloping the boy in an excruciatingly tight hug. Every movement of the powerful trunk muscles seemed to break the boy's ribs a little more. The elephant trumpeted with a malicious joy as he charged off with his gruesome prize firmly held.

Over the next hour or so, it continued pressing, eliciting a terrifying scream of pain from the boy who just refused to pass out. Finally, the pressure was too much and the broken ribs pushed too much inwards, puncturing both lungs and heart. Zinc tried to scream again, but all that came out of his mouth was a river of blood.

A cannon sounded.
