• Next Hunger Games
Our next Hunger Games is a little different than our previous ones. Called "Battle Royale," this Hunger Games will feature one lucky class to be sent to the Hunger Games together. Mr. Dressler's honors history class tried to ignite revolution in Panem. And for their trouble, they will be sent to the arena together. Join us by making a high school junior (16-17 years old) from District 11. See the Battle Royale Subforum for more information. We aim to start in December so now's the time to start developing your character!

After four years, we have decided to close down Sixth Station. The site has meant so much to many of us who spent countless hours into our game. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our game.

The 101-Fall Hunger Games are wrapping up. You have 24-48 hours to enter the final posts. Members can still post in the "History of Sixth Station" and the "Connection" forums.

The air was fresh, sweet, and very cold. Ice edged the streams, and small pools were completely. frozen over, The rising sun highlighted the supposedly electric chain-linked fence a shade of golden pink. He was a butcher by trade. A hunter by heart. A career by determination.

The woods was where he was most comfortable The woods to which vegetation remained frost-bitten, To which muffled his footsteps. He ore black unbranded shoes, the rubber worn out almost completely; a dark green fleece sweatshirt, holes spread throughout its entirety from old age, revealing his white tank top; a beige backpack, blood stained and a little worse for wear, carrying his hunting knives; and a pair of beige pants with moth bitten holes.

His name was Gideon Leblanc, an eighteen year old apprentice butcher whom sold the game he caught. Whatever they couldn't sell they'd split. Gideon slipped through the bush, a knife in hand as he crept closer to his sleeping prey. The sun was rising, and with it rose the people. He'd have to be more careful on his way home. The last thing he needed was a whipping while on his way to work. While on his way from his weapons training.

There she was. The Doe he had been tracking all morning. She lay in the long grass cleaning herself. He adjusted his grip on the knife, ready to throw it. And then the sound of a snapping twig rang, bouncing off the mountains, causing the doe to bolt.

Mauricia's father, the peacekeeper was deffinetly drunk that evening when Mauricia met Isabella Stockes. The other day he just couldn't remember who was Isabelle and that Mauricia's mother was supposed to go in prison. He told Mauricia to leave and not touch him with her filthy hands so she returned to work normally. Berries couldn't feed Mauricia well, that was sure. For a week the only thing they could eat was some bread and cheese, so Mauricia decided to search for food elsewhere. The forest for example. Their home was in the edge of the District so she could visit the forest without being seen.

When Mauricia saw Wheathley, their female tribute kill one of the careers she felt extremly happy. If that girl managed to win the Hunger Games District 11 was going to receive food for a year, which would help Mauricia and her mother a lot. Then again, she had the same hopes in the last Games but Chloe mysteriously died by a fire. Mauricia felt quite uncomfortable that she knew the male tribute. Daniel was that blonde boy she had met before a couple of weeks. When she watched him losing his arm Mauricia felt anger, but she knew she couldn't do anything at all.

The forest was huge and Mauricia was almost sure that she got lost. There were many plants in the forest which Mauricia recognized as edible, so she put them in the bad she was holding. But, her problem was that every single tree looked the same. She clearly got lost.

She walked and walked, untill she spotted someone some meters in front of her. Mauricia quickly walked towards the person and gritted. " Excuse me. Do you know where District 11 is?" she asked feeling quite stupid about the way she spoke. If a peacekeeper found them here they would deffinetly lose their lives.

His game was gone! Burried within the trees and scrub. Her footsteps covered by the low lying bushes. " Excuse me. Do you know where District 11 is?" He turned to face the new comer. Had she been the one to step on the twig? Had this... stick, for lack of a better word... ruined his whole mornings work? Don't get him wrong, she didn't look all that bad, she just costed some families what could be their only source of food besides the tesserae grain. "No, sorry. I can take you to District twelve and you can find your way from there maybe?" He tried to keep his tongue civil, but a small inkling of his anger at the lost game snuck through.

And then it came to him. The Hunger Games started today. He had to make it out of the woods before the tributes were introduced. He had to make it to the butchery before the peacekeepers poked in to check that all the televisions within the store were displaying the all too important Games. He didn't see the point in it at all, especially when the Distrit Twelve tributes always die on the first day.

Mind you, this year the tributes seemed more lively. More so than that District Eleven boy. "You know that District Eleven boy? The one that zoned out in front of the cameras? I bet you he's going to die in the bloodbath."

(( Sorry, I totally didn't saw you did replied sad.gif))

" Sure." she answered with a shrug. She knew how to return to District 11 from District 11, especially now when the Districts were moved. District 11 was close to District 12 and Mauricia often went shopping in District 12 because they had the black market and everything was cheaper than in District 11.

When he started talking about the hunger games, she tried to not roll her eyes. People seemed to care only about the Hunger Games and althought she didn't minded them she didn't wanted to talk about them all the time. Mauricia knew that boy, Daniel and she remembered well how they collected berries once. He seemed angry of the careers and capable of murder but she honestly didn't cared about his future. " Yeah, we worked together once. He was a nice boy." she answered.

She shruged again because she had no idea if he would die or not. Twelve-year-olds usually died in the Bloodbath, but if he managed to escape quickly from the Cornucopia he would probably survive a day longer. Mauricia still remembered how he collapsed in front of her and this wouldn't help him at all. " I guess he can survive for a day... But everyone in 11 cares more about Wheathley's future than Daniel's... He is like dead meat for us..." she answered. Of course, only she believed that. If Wheathley won then 11 would receive food for a whole year. Daniel would need a lot of luck to win the games, while Wheathley was strong.
